GelisPark (or 歌麗司, literally bureau of beautiful songs) is a collectively-run space next to Görlitzer Park, Berlin. “Gelis” echoes the sound of “Görlitzer,” while also evoking 蛤蜊 gé lí — clams, a playful nod to opening shells and opening worlds
GelisPark is an info-shop, reading room, social-movement archive, workshop space, kitchen, and at times a community refuge. We focus on alternative cultural production and social practices emerging from communities, whose lived experiences are shaped by exile, migration, and racialization across Asia and beyond.
